Thomas Jefferson was here
On the Champ-Elysées near Séphora and the Marriott. The sign says that Thomas Jefferson, ambassador to France and then President of the United States, used to live on that spot (before the avenue was built, actually). Put up in 1919 by the alumni of the University of Virginia who fought in World War I.
