82-year-paratrooper tests young mettle
After the D-Day 2004 60th anniversary ceremonies at Omaha Beach, this 82-year-old paratrooper, who had jumped with the 82nd Airborne on the morning of D-Day, was teasing a young army noncom who was an usher in the crowd, asking if he could do as many pushups as they had to do in the old days. The young man fell to the ground immediately to prove he was made of tough stuff too.
