Hever Castle and "Tudor Village"

Hever Castle and "Tudor Village"

Hever Castle in East Sussex is the place where Anne Boleyn was born and was later the home of Anne of Cleves (the "Flanders mare" whom Henry VIII married by proxy and divorced as soon as he laid eyes upon her). It was bought and restored by the American millionaire William Waldorf Astor, who also built the "Tudor Village" to house guests and staff. It is a very pleasant place to visit with its gardens on a fine day.
